God shifted you because His Grace lifted off the old and shifted into the new thing He is doing in your life.
When God shifts His Grace to something new, He invites us to trust Him and 'MOVE' with Him.
Staying in the old, where His Grace has lifted, leads to frustration, exhaustion, and burnout because we are no longer aligned with the flow of His Spirit.

Think about the Israelites in the wilderness: God led them with a cloud by day and a fire by night.

Exodus 13:21-22

And the Lord went before them by day in a pillar of cloud to lead the way, and by night in a pillar of fire to give them light, so as to go by day and night. He did not take away the pillar of cloud by day or the pillar of fire by night from before the people.

They were only fruitful and safe when they followed His leading. If they had stayed in a place where the cloud had lifted, they would have missed His provision and protection. The same is true for us. God's Grace sustains us where He has called us to be, not where we were comfortable or where things once worked.

Isaiah 43:18-19 (NLT) Says:

"But forget all that—
it is nothing compared to what I am going to do.
For I am about to do something new.
See, I have already begun! Do you not see it?
I will make a pathway through the wilderness.
I will create rivers in the dry wasteland.

When we cling to the old, it's often out of comfort and familiarity or out of fear and our need for control.

We want things to remain the same, and when we choose what's familiar over obeying God's voice, we step into idolatry!
We have chosen our own will above God's!

The truth is, once God's Grace lifts from the old, the shift has already begun, and there's no going back.
We fail to realize that once God's grace lifts, things cannot and will not stay the same. Change has already begun.

The reality is:

Apart from God's Grace, the old will begin to shrivel and eventually die. Or you'll have to sustain it in your strength, which only leads to frustration and burnout. (Sometimes, by God's mercy, He extends a measure of Grace, but it's never as fruitful as aligning with His new direction will be, and often you'll be forced to start something new anyway.

God is a God of forward movement, always calling us to grow deeper in Him. When His grace shifts, He is signaling that He has something greater that aligns with His purposes for us in this new season.

I have not spoken much about my season of transition, and in the coming days I will share more.

Recently, my husband and I moved from Redmond, Oregon, to Houston, Texas, by the leading of the Lord. It was not an easy move in many regards, but one we knew the Lord was asking us to make. We had to lay many things down.

I remember feeling the heavy weight of people's disappointment and their lack of understanding when we told them we were leaving, and I had to wrestle through that.

One night, the Lord spoke to me and said, "Bernice, if you choose to stay when I am asking you to go, I will extend a measure of Grace to you. You will even see a level of growth in the area of ministry, but you will not see the fullness of what I have planned."

God's plans always go beyond ‘just us’, they are never limited to "I," "Me," or "My." His plans for your life are filled with legacy, impact, and the lives of many others intertwined within them. We limit God when we choose our comfort, preference and security over His plan.

God has moved so many of you to a new season of Grace

You have had to lay things down; things didn't go the way you envisioned, but I assure you God knew in advance how every detail would play out, and before it ever unfolded, He took it and is already working it out for your good!

I declare fresh Grace, provision, and favor over you as you enter into your new season of Grace with Jesus! You will prosper in all you set your hand to do in Jesus Mighty Name!

Follow His presence into the new. His Grace will meet you there continually!
