And I heard the Lord say, “I the sovereign Lord am removing the obstacle of doubt
that has tripped my people up, and am restoring their faith...”
Finally it is done!, and I am so happy to get to share it with you!

Titled | Run your Race
This is a piece that the Lord placed on my heart to paint a couple months ago!
and I knew it then .. that it was connected to running your race!

The Lord showed me many who once were strong in their race were left feeling weak, wounded, unsure whether they had the strength to continue their race. Some had stepped out of their race, while others were contemplating ending their race early. I could see many thinking rethinking, retracing their steps, questioning, wondering if they could have done something different.

The Lord showed me an obstacle the enemy had placed in the path of these runners who had been wounded in their race. The obstacle was large and black, with the word Doubt written across it, and I could see how the runners tripped over the obstacle of doubt leaving them wounded and weak.

James 1:6-8 says (NIV)

6 But when you ask, you must believe and not doubt, because the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind. 7 That person should not expect to receive anything from the Lord. 8 Such a person is double-minded and unstable in all they do.

Then the Lord showed me

Faith! It was pure and glistening white and it came and enveloped the runners who had tripped, who were wounded and weak, and they stood to their feet, even those who had left their race, were energized and stepped back into their lanes, ready to run!

And I heard the Lord say, I the sovereign Lord am removing the obstacle of doubt that has tripped my people up, and am restoring their faith, I will strengthen them, I will restore them. They will run and not grow weary they will walk and not faint and they will receive their crown!

1 Peter 5:10 (ESV)
And after you have suffered a little while, the God of all grace, who has called you to his eternal glory in Christ, will himself restore, confirm, strengthen, and establish you.

1 Corinthians 9:24-25 (NIV)
24 Do you not know that in a race all the runners run, but only one gets the prize? Run in such a way as to get the prize. 25 Everyone who competes in the games goes into strict training. They do it to get a crown that will not last, but we do it to get a crown that will last forever.
