PROPHETIC WORD PENTECOST & YOUR HARVEST

28 May 2023

Pentecost will be a marker for you, of the beginning of your harvest

Many of you have experienced great loss, you feel that all you worked so hard for has been lost.
The Holy Spirit is coming to fill you afresh, He will strengthen you and show you what you have not been able to see.

You did not labor in vain, and your harvest is not lost, you just can’t see it because it’s not where you think it is!
The enemy tried to destroy your harvest, because he saw the seeds you planted were good and he tried to ruin your field by coming in like a flood, but God has raised a standard against him.

God took those good seeds and planted them outside of the reach of the enemy.
He has taken care of your harvest, and He is leading you to the field of your harvest, where you will open your eyes and see a field, ripe for harvest, tended to by the Lord.

Don’t go back to the place the enemy had access to, your harvest won’t be found there. God is going to lead you out of the old and into the new, bountiful harvesting season.

Nothing is lost.

The Holy Spirit will fill you afresh and you will reap your Harvest!
When the Holy Spirit comes, He causes you to reap a harvest!

Did you know that Pentecost has a lot to do with the harvest?

Pentecost has its roots in the Greek word ‘pentekoste’ pronounced (pen-tay-kos-tay') which means fiftieth.

However, the Jews called Pentecost, Shavout (meaning weeks) it was also known as the “Feast of Harvest” or the “Feast of weeks” by the Jews, because It celebrated the weeks from Passsover to Pentecost. To be exact it was 7 weeks plus a day (7x7=49 +1 =50)

The count down for the Fifty days started with a “Wave Sheaf offering” which was offered on the Passover. The Wave Sheaf offering was an omer of freshly harvested grain, offered up to the Lord by the priest in the temple, by waving it. Hence the name the “wave sheaf”.

Nothing else could be harvested until after the wave sheaf had been offered.

The wave sheaf was the first fruit of the first fruits, and it was a type and a shadow of Jesus Christ being the first fruit of God’s spiritual harvest. Jesus was the Passover lamb. He died on the cross and was resurrected back to life, making it possible for a great harvest of souls to come forth.

It was 50 days from the resurrection of Jesus to the day of Pentecost and in
Acts chapter 2 it tells us:

1When the day of Pentecost arrived, they were all together in one place. 2 And suddenly there came from heaven a sound like a mighty rushing wind, and it filled the entire house where they were sitting. 3 And divided tongues as of fire appeared to them and rested on each one of them.4 And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in other tongues as the Spirit gave them utterance.
Acts 2:1-4 ESV

The sound of this drew a large crowd, who were amazed and bewildered because these Galileans were declaring the mighty works of God in other languages. Some began to mock, saying they were drunk with wine.

Peter then got up and addressed the crowd, telling them that these men were not drunk, BUT FILLED WITH THE SPIRIT, and continued to share the gospel message of Jesus. Those listening were cut to the heart and asked what they needed to do to be saved.

Peter responded, telling them they needed to repent and be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of their sins.

That day about three thousand souls were added to the church!
A reaping of a great HARVEST, and a great fulfillment of an old testament type and shadow!

The Holy Spirit will fill you afresh and you will reap your Harvest!
He will strengthen you and show you what you have not been able to see.
Pentecost will be a marker for you, of the beginning of your harvest!

Nothing has been lost.

I release this over you in Jesus name.

Blessings Bernice

… When you come into the land that I give you and reap its harvest, you shall bring the sheaf of the first fruits of your harvest to the priest …"
Leviticus 23:10 ESV

20 But in fact Christ has been raised from the dead, the first fruits of those who have fallen asleep. 21 For as by a man came death, by a man has come also the resurrection of the dead. 22 For as in Adam all die, so also in Christ shall all be made alive. 23 But each in his own order: Christ the first fruits, then at his coming those who belong to Christ.
1 Corinthians 15:20-23 ESV

Don’t you have a saying, ‘It’s still four months until harvest’? I tell you, open your eyes and look at the fields! They are ripe for harvest.
John 4:35
