A Double Portion! .. I saw mantles being released in the spirit to those who have persevered

On the evening of 22 October 22 while in prayer I saw mantles being released in the spirit to those who have persevered, and I heard the Lord say 2 Kings 2!

2 Kings 2

9 When they had crossed, Elijah said to Elisha, “Ask what I shall do for you, before I am taken from you.” And Elisha said, “Please let there be a double portion of your spirit on me.” 10 And he said, “You have asked a hard thing; yet, if you see me as I am being taken from you, it shall be so for you, but if you do not see me, it shall not be so.” 11 And as they still went on and talked, behold, chariots of fire and horses of fire separated the two of them. And Elijah went up by a whirlwind into heaven. 12 And Elisha saw it and he cried, “My father, my father! The chariots of Israel and its horsemen!” And he saw him no more.

Then he took hold of his own clothes and tore them in two pieces. 13 And he took up the cloak of Elijah that had fallen from him and went back and stood on the bank of the Jordan. 14 Then he took the cloak of Elijah that had fallen from him and struck the water, saying, “Where is the Lord, the God of Elijah?” And when he had struck the water, the water was parted to the one side and to the other, and Elisha went over.

RUN YOUR RACE

Elisha asked for a double portion of Elijah’s spirit The spirit that was upon Elijah’s life was the SPIRIT OF GOD! (The Ruah (pronounced roo’-akh) meaning breath, spirit, wind)
Notice when Elisha took Elijah’s mantle he said “Where is the Lord the God of Elijah!”

Elisha understood the power of spiritual authority, he understood impartation, but he also understood that Elijah’s mantle came from the Lord, and that the double portion he was asking Elijah for would come from God! (‘Without God Elijah could do nothing’)

Many have had hands laid on them, they have had impartation released to them by spiritual leaders, but the Lord says that He is releasing a double portion of His Spirit to the ones who have persevered, the ones who have cried out to the God of Elijah just like Elisha did, saying “ WHERE IS THE LORD” as they pick up those mantles that have been released!

The Lord says the double portion is for those who have persevered, those who refused to quit, refused to give up on their lives, purpose, calling and destiny, those who even at their weakest moments ran to Him as their refuge and strength,

On the evening of 22 Oct 22 as I lay there in the presence of God weeping, I saw Jesus in the Spirit sitting at my feet, He came and put new shoes on my feet.

Be encouraged friends, the season has changed and you are about to step into a new thing.
the old things have passed away and God is doing a new thing, the transition has been, frustrating, uncomfortable and even painful, but you are about to step into the new. He has been repositioning you for the new! New freedom, new territory, new alignments, new assignments, new victories!

God lifts you up on eagles wings, and brings you to himself! He is a mighty deliverer!

“You yourselves have seen what I did to the Egyptians, and how I bore you on eagles’ wings and brought you to myself.” Exodus 19:4 ESV

Its time to run your race! Its time to step in into the new thing!
